An AI voice receptionist for clinics, with a patient portal and a dashboard giving staff visibility into appointments and calls.
Context
An independent build in which we explored an AI front desk for clinics.
Design challenge
Voice, patient self-service and staff operations usually live in separate tools. The challenge was making them one connected experience where staff stay in charge.
End-to-end flow
- 1. A patient calls
- 2. The AI answers and books, reschedules or cancels in natural conversation
- 3. Confirmation and reminder workflow runs
- 4. The patient portal shows the booking details
- 5. The staff dashboard updates
Three connected surfaces
- Voice - the AI receptionist on inbound calls
- Patient - a portal for booking details
- Staff - a dashboard for appointments, call logs, reminder status and availability
Staff control & guardrails
Staff control availability, so the agent only offers valid time slots. Every call log carries an outcome label and a plain-language summary, so the team can see what happened at a glance.
What this means for your business
- →An AI receptionist that books, reschedules and cancels while staff control availability
- →Confirmations and reminders running automatically after every booking
- →A staff dashboard with call outcomes and summaries, so nothing happens out of sight
What this build shows
- Multi-surface product design
- Voice AI conversation flows
- Operational dashboards
- Guardrails for AI agents
